Dear reader,

Hope you had a pleasant holiday and a happy new year.

One of my resolutions for this year is to create more interesting content for you guys through topics that interest me and are authentic!

So here are some tips that have helped me on how to survive a heartbreak:

"We accept the love we think we deserve" is probably one of my favorite quotes I've ever heard. It's from the book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky.

The quality of our relationships is directly proportional to the relationship we have with ourselves.
If you work on the relationship you have with yourself, you'll find yourself attracted — and attracting, better people in your life.
You'll also find yourself being more strict with the things you tolerate from others.

Another thought that resonates heavily with me is that what we associate as "bad" feelings, might be a wrong take, and contrary to what we may believe, they are just "feelings".

Just because it's unpleasant doesn't make it bad. (Exercise? Anyone?).
The reason this is pointed out is that as we consider them bad we may tend to avoid them.
The avoidance of these feelings slows down the grieving process and stops us from overcoming that which hurts us (at least romantically.)

Now, I'm no expert, nor do I claim to be. I pretty much find myself going through my own emotional challenges every day, if you've heard any of my music, you can tell.

Which is a good Segway for the third tip: Art & Creation.

Turning your pain into something meaningful, to you, such as a story, a song, or a painting.
It's one of the best ways I have found to get the unpleasantness out of my system and feel better.
Another bonus is that what you create has the potential to help others heal and feel understood!

It's one of the main reasons I'm an artist in the first place!

I recently turned my pain into art, a song, titled "I Don't Miss You."

It's a somewhat ironic title, from what the lyrics will show you!

I hope these tips bring you positivity if you're going through it, and if you're feeling fine and dandy, that's even better!

I still recommend the song as it's a banger though, according to my own unbiased opinion. ;)
